Research Title: The Development of English Instructional Model for Communication based on Experiential Learning (CLE) and Cooperative learning (STAD) by Using Active3Ps for High Vocational Students

The objectives of this research were 1) to study basic information and needs for the development of English instructional model for communication. 2) to create and search for the initial quality of English instructional model for communication based on experiential learning (CLE) and cooperative learning (STAD) by using active3Ps for high vocational students 3) to have the experiment with the English instructional model for communication. and 4) to evaluate and improve the English instructional model for communication. The sample group of basic information studies were teachers and the English instructional experts; 10 people and 12 high vocational students. The samples included high vocational students of Information Technology, registered to study English for Communication code 3000 - 1201 in semester 1, academic year 2020, Nakhon Pathom Municipality Vocational College, Nakhon Pathom Province, total 15 people. The research tools consisted of the English for communication proficiency test, code 3000 1201, the English communication proficiency assessment form, the student satisfaction questionnaire towards the English instructional model for communication and the student opinion questionnaire. The data analysis using content analysis, statistics, mean (x̄), standard deviation (S.D.), percentage and the comparison the mean of the scores obtained with the established mean (80%) using One - Sample T-Test with a computer program
The results of the research were as follows:
1. The results of the study, background information and the need for the development of the overall English instructional model found that the current management of the English instructional model for communication; the teachers are very friendly with the students. They manage to learn by giving lectures with having the learners read the content of the lesson, do exercises and do it. The quizzes in the textbooks contain pictures, knowledge sheets, and short video clips. The students saw that the management of learning in English for communication to be successful in studying should be a new learning activity, more activities are organized. and there are activities to practice speaking and listening in English together, time management should be appropriate to the content, the tasks of that period should be assessed during and after the learning arrangement. The students are informed of their progress and always have their own flaws. The Learning Process based on experiential learning (CLE) and cooperative learning (STAD) by using active3Ps are well suited to the teaching English for Communication. Because it is a learning that has a real practice. It focuses on student and gives learners a direct experience of learning, There is a group to practice communication between learners. And there is feedback of the teacher for students to improve. Resulting in development for the purpose of the course.
2. The results of the instructional model development showed that the model has the following important elements: 1) the structural elements including the principles and objectives 2) the process structure consists of 5 learning processes: Stage 1, Concrete Experience (CE), Stage 2, Reflective Observation (RO), Stage 3, Abstract Conceptualization: AC, Stage 4. Active Experiment (AE) Stage 5 Evaluation (E) and Measurement and Evaluation 3) Key conditions for successful implementation of the instructional model in which the model has a theoretical justification value. The probability value. the suitability and consistency in the overall were at the highest level. And when the instructional model was used to find the efficiency in the field, the efficiency (E1 / E2) was 84.24 / 86.40 according to the specified standards.
3. The results showed that the learning achievement of the English for communication, code 3000 - 1201 after learning the English instructional model for communication based on experiential learning (CLE) and cooperative learning (STAD) by using active3Ps for high vocational students scored significantly more than 80% at the .05 level. And the learners are able to use English for communication and the satisfaction of the learners towards the instructional model at a high level.
4. The evaluation and improvement found that the efficiency (E1 / E2) of the English instructional model for based on experiential learning (CLE) and cooperative learning (STAD) by using active3Ps for high vocational students. The efficiency was 85.73 / 86.67 according to the specified standards. Overall, 86.67% agreed and 13.33% unsure. The disagreement Opinion was none.
