The study aimed to develop learning activity management in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5, Nongthaphon Mittrapab No. 5 Municipal School.
The study was designed as a research and development with five particular steps : 1) anlyzing needs and directions for developing learning activity management in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5.The target subjects were 69 Prathom Suksa 5 students, and 4 excellent English teachers ; 2) designing and developing the lesson plan of learning activity management in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 ; 3) implementing the lesson plan with purposively sampled 34 subjects, in intact class Prathom Suksa 5/2 in Nongthaphon Mittrapab No.5 Municipal School under Education Division, Warinchamrab Municipality during semester 2 in academic year 2016 ; 4) investigating satisfaction towards the learning activity management in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 ; and 5) presenting the results of learning activity management in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 to 35 school executives and English teachers under local administration organization in Ubon Ratchathani.
Findings:
1. From need analysis, needs for learning activity management in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 was totally in middle level (μ = 3.49). In addition, needs for active learning technique in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 in total was at the highest level (μ = 4.51). Finally, needs and directions of learning activity management with Active Learning technique from advisory interview showed that learning activities in English with active learning technique conform to the national education legislation 1999 and educational management in 21st century for life long developing of life quality. The learning management will focus on learner interaction in the group. The learners move along the class and they have a chance to practice and conclude their lessons learnt themselves. They will learn actively and happily. The learning directions are from problem or context identification, and the learners will search and solve the problems together in group by expressing opinions before coming up with conclusions. Classroom presentation and discussion will be included before applying knowledge in daily life. Finally, synthesis of the learning activity with Active Learning technique revealed seven steps : 1) leading in ; 2) retrieving information ; 3) relating information ; 4) exchanging group experience ; 5) creating knowledge together ; 6) communicating and presenting ; and 7) applying in daily life.
2. Quality evaluation value of learning activity management in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5, Nongthaphon Mittrapab No. 5 Municipal School was in the highest level with mean score of 4.79
3. The learning activity plan in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 had efficiency level at 81.60/79.31 higher than the standard set at 75/75. Pretest and posttest scores showed that the students in the experimental class had significantly higher mean scores at 0.05 and the students progress level 60.70% increased.
4. Satisfaction level for the learning activity plan in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 was at the highest level with mean score of 4.56
5. The presentation on learning activity plan in a topic of Having fun with 0ccupations, Foreign Language Learning Group, by using Active Learning technique, for Prathom Suksa 5 revealed the targets agreed that learning activity with Active Learning technique at the highest level with mean score of 4.63
